Weight Management Conventional slimming diets
rarely make a long-term impact on the way you feel, think about and use food.
This usually means that over time the majority of initially successful “dieters”
revert back to their old eating habits, often putting on more weight than
before.
All is not lost! It is now recognised that the psychological element in being
overweight is the most important. Hypnosis uses the most awesome power on earth,
the power of your mind, to give you new eating habits, allowing you to implement
the changes easily and effortlessly.
Whatever difficulties you may have, whether it’s snacking, eating the wrong
foods, comfort eating, eating too quickly and so on, these can be overcome
effectively and permanently. Most clients say how much they enjoy losing weight
in this way, how easy it is. Some radical diets can have harmful side effects.
This way is a natural way to change your shape, allowing your body to adjust in
harmony with your thought processes. There are no harmful side effects.
My weight management programme involves four hypnotherapy sessions.
Sometimes clients want to do more sessions through choice which is fine. During
each session hypnosis allows you to relax whilst your subconscious (inner) mind
is re-programmed using powerful suggestions and visualisations. After each
session you are asked to relax to a CD at home to reinforce the effects of the
suggestions.
Sometimes being overweight is linked to underlying negative emotions from
past traumas. In other words poor eating or over eating may be to mask or
anaesthetise emotion or anxiety. If this is the case we may need to clear the
blockage caused by this negative emotion. This is done with hypnotherapy or
EFT. Once any such blockages are cleared weight loss occurs naturally.
